New South Wales forecasts gambling tax receipts will rise from $3.8 billion in 2025-26 to $4.7 billion in 2029-30, according to budget papers. Treasury projects about $2.2 billion from pub and hotel poker machines in 2029-30, compared with about $1.6 billion in the current financial year. Treasurer Daniel Mookhey said the forecasts reflect current policy settings and exclude potential reforms.

Operators and investors can track projected state tax receipts and poker-machine revenue against unresolved reform proposals.
