New South Wales commission extends Star Sydney manager to June 2027

Enforcement & compliance

The New South Wales Independent Casino Commission said on 25 September that Nick Weeks’ term as manager of The Star Sydney had been extended by nine months, to 30 June 2027. The casino licence remains suspended, but the manager can continue operating its gaming facilities; the commission said the suspension could be lifted if remediation is properly embedded.

The extension maintains oversight while leaving The Star Sydney’s licence suspension in place.
