Nebraska coalition campaigns against two online sports betting ballot measures

Regulation

Save Nebraska Sports launched a campaign opposing two online sports betting measures due on Nebraska’s November ballot. State Treasurer Joey Spellerberg said the estimated $87m in property tax relief would require residents to lose more than $435m through betting; supporters of the measures have argued that legalisation would raise revenue for tax relief.

The campaign challenges the tax-relief case for proposed online sports betting measures before Nebraska voters.
