Nebraska officials certify online sports betting measures for November ballot

Regulation

Nebraska's Secretary of State's office confirmed that two sports betting petitions cleared signature and county-distribution thresholds for the 3 November general election. The constitutional measure received at least 138,473 valid signatures and the statutory measure 96,918; the office must certify the full ballot by 11 September. If approved, the proposals would permit regulated online sports wagering under rules set by the State Racing and Gaming Commission.

A November vote could determine whether Nebraska permits online sports betting and establishes its operating framework.
