NBA, PGA Tour and NCAA ask CFTC to raise prediction-market age to 21

Regulation

The NBA, PGA Tour and NCAA asked the CFTC to set a minimum age of 21 for sports prediction markets in letters to the regulator. The NCAA focused its request on college sports markets, while the NBA said advertising should at least be restricted for users aged 18 to 20 if the CFTC does not impose the higher age threshold.

A federal age rule could change eligibility and advertising requirements for sports prediction-market platforms.
