Morocco’s Ministry of Economy and Finance projects MAD195m across three betting, lottery and horse-racing budget items in its draft 2027 Finance Bill, released on 23 October. The draft allocates MAD90m to mutual betting deductions, MAD80m to lottery proceeds and MAD25m to expected distributed profits from SOREC, according to the ministry’s bill. It also proposes adding gaming-winnings declarations to cases that may trigger automatic tax assessment; parliamentary review and possible changes remain.

The proposed tax-code change could bring gaming-winnings declarations within Morocco’s automatic tax-assessment process.
