Morgan Stanley sees possible extension of Italy retail gaming concessions
Morgan Stanley said Italy may extend its current retail gaming concession system to 2027 or 2028, according to the report. The bank cited the short timetable for reform and said the market could become more concentrated as future concessions bring higher costs and compliance requirements. Its model assumed auction bids would be 10% above initially expected levels for each lot.
A delay and higher concession costs could affect operators’ renewal plans and the competitive position of smaller businesses.
