LOGiCO members discuss possible ADM extension for gaming certification rules

LOGiCO held an online meeting on 18 June with certification laboratories, suppliers and operators to discuss implementation issues arising from Italy’s new technical rules for gaming certification. Participants discussed the possibility of jointly requesting an extension from ADM, but no request or decision was reported.

A possible extension could affect certification schedules for operators, suppliers and testing laboratories.

LOTBA presents Polymarket case at international gambling regulators’ conference

LOTBA president Jesús Acevedo discussed prediction-market risks at the IAGR annual conference in Lima, held from 19 to 22 October. LOTBA said its investigation into Polymarket led to the platform being blocked, citing concerns about services operating outside applicable rules and safeguards for verifying users’ identities and ages.

LOTBA presented its investigation into Polymarket at the annual conference of the International Association of Gaming Regulators (IAGR), held in Lima from 19 to 22 October. According to LOTBA, the investigation ended with the platform being blocked. The Buenos Aires city lottery regulator's president, Jesús Acevedo, set out the case during a panel on prediction markets, event contracts and regulatory arbitrage.
