Michigan gaming board withdraws from council over Kalshi relationship
The Michigan Gaming Control Board said it is leaving the National Council on Problem Gambling over the organisation’s partnership and investment relationship with Kalshi. The announcement followed an Ingham County court order temporarily barring KalshiEX from offering sports-related event contracts to Michigan residents, with potential fines of up to $120,000 a day for non-compliance.
Operators should monitor Michigan’s enforcement stance as the board disputes the council’s relationship with Kalshi.
