MGA extends Hacksaw subsidiary’s B2B licence to Type 3 services

Licences & markets

Reportedly, the MGA added Type 3 services to the B2B licence of Hacksaw’s HGMT Limited. The extension allows the supplier’s peer-to-peer prediction-market platform for operators. Type 3 covers games between participants, with the operator earning commissions or other charges rather than directly bearing the result risk.

The extension lets HGMT Limited supply its peer-to-peer prediction-market platform to operators under its B2B licence.

The council of La Seu d'Urgell in Lleida has given initial approval to a special plan regulating recreational use, an urban-planning instrument intended to order leisure activities in the municipality and limit the opening of gaming halls. The council has also extended a suspension of works and activity licences for recreational gaming halls across the whole municipal area by one more year, until 13 September 2027, or until the plan takes effect if that comes earlier.
