Mexico's SAT schedules auction of ICELA shares linked to 65 casinos

Tenders & awards

Mexico’s tax authority, the SAT, said it will auction shares in the company controlling the Hipódromo de las Américas complex and a permit covering 65 casinos to recover ICELA tax debts. The shares are valued at MXN 1,168m, with the auction scheduled for 11–18 August; the sale does not mean the venues will close or that each casino will be sold separately.

The auction could change control of the company linked to the operation of the complex and casino permit.
