Massachusetts gaming commission schedules Fanatics hearing over 132 betting-account notices

Regulation

The Massachusetts Gaming Commission is due to hear why Fanatics Betting and Gaming did not notify 132 patrons when it limited their wagering, reportedly. The alleged failures occurred between 29 July and 7 September, after a rule took effect requiring personalised explanations within 48 hours. The commission is also to hear about alleged proxy betting involving Bill Simmons and FanDuel; the investigation remains ongoing.

The hearings concern operators’ compliance with account-limitation notification rules and a separate proxy-betting investigation.
