It was reported that 10% of US adults surveyed by Pew Research Center had bet on sports online during the preceding year, compared with 6% in 2022. Among adults under 30, participation reached 17%, against 7% in 2022. Pew conducted the survey between 8 July and 3 August 2025.
The Massachusetts Gaming Commission is due to hear why Fanatics Betting and Gaming did not notify 132 patrons when it limited their wagering, reportedly. The alleged failures occurred between 29 July and 7 September, after a rule took effect requiring personalised explanations within 48 hours. The commission is also to hear about alleged proxy betting involving Bill Simmons and FanDuel; the investigation remains ongoing.

The Massachusetts Gaming Commission released results on 22 October 2026 from gambling-related questions in the 2025–2026 Prevention Needs Assessment Survey of Springfield Public Schools students in grades 8, 10 and 12. The Public Health Institute of Western Massachusetts led the survey, which examines youth gambling behaviour and its relationship to other health issues.
