A media investigation found 87 domains offering betting and withdrawals across six Telegram channels, a month after Brazil’s provisional measure prohibited betting platforms. The channels had more than 43 mil subscriptions, and none of the domains ended in .bet.br; the Finance Ministry’s Secretariat of Prizes and Betting said it had blocked more than 47 mil illegal sites since the measure was issued.

Its investigation found 87 distinct domains advertised in six channels with more than 43 mil subscriptions combined. None of the 87 domains had the ending that had identified federally authorised platforms before the ban.

Anatel had ordered blocks on 2,387 addresses, while authorities also notified 186 betting apps for removal by 6 October and requested the removal of betting adverts from eight digital platforms.

The Cyber Operations Laboratory identified 212,634 members across them; authorities also found promotions for an unauthorised platform and claims of monthly returns of up to 260%.
South Korean police identified 361 people aged 10 to 18 for gambling offences between January and July 2026, citing police figures reviewed by The Seoul Economic Daily. The total included 71 children aged 10 to 13, representing 19.7%. The Korea Center on Gambling Problems provides dedicated youth services at only six of its 15 regional centres.
