MASAF approves €36.4m in 2026 horse-racing subsidies
Italy’s Ministry of Agriculture, Food Sovereignty and Forestry approved a 2026 subsidy allocation for racing companies, reportedly following changes required by Lazio Regional Administrative Court rulings. The total is €36,444,652, split between €22,347,832.43 for 2026 and €14,096,819.57 for 2027; the decree also records the withdrawal of recognition for Trieste and refusal for the company managing Taranto racecourse.
The allocation sets subsidy amounts and payment conditions for recognised racecourse companies across two financial years.
