Loterj president urges joint action against illegal betting in Brazil
Rio de Janeiro State Lottery president Hazenclever Lopes Cançado called for states and federal agencies to coordinate enforcement against illegal betting in Brazil, reportedly during an interview. He said illegal betting operations were linked to wider criminal activity and proposed involving the Federal Revenue Service, Federal Police, COAF and Central Bank.
Proposed coordination among states and federal agencies could intensify enforcement against illegal betting and affect operators outside Brazil’s regulated framework.
