Lithuania’s GSS seeks court orders to block illegal gambling domains
Lithuania’s Gambling Supervision Service (GSS) met with more than a dozen state bodies on 20 November to discuss illegal gambling domains and online fraud. The GSS said the national blacklist contains almost 2,000 gambling domains and that it seeks court orders for internet providers to block sites verified as facilitating illegal remote gambling. Banks and payment processors are also barred from processing transactions between Lithuanian users and banned platforms.
Operators and payment firms must account for domain-blocking orders and restrictions on transactions with banned platforms.
