Latvia transfers gambling oversight and tax collection to revenue agency

Regulation

Latvia has placed gambling supervision and tax collection under its national revenue agency, according to reports. The agency will establish separate units for licensing and compliance, and for technical and financial inspections. The change replaces a system in which two bodies shared responsibility.

Operators in Latvia will deal with one authority for gambling oversight and tax collection.
