Ksa-commissioned review finds limited evidence for gambling interventions
Researchers commissioned by ZonMw and the KSA reviewed scientific evidence on preventive interventions for people showing risky, but not severe, gambling behaviour. They selected 13 studies covering feedback, imposed gambling breaks and information; feedback sometimes reduced spending and playing time in the short term for moderate-risk players, but showed no convincing effect for high-risk players.
The review informs the KSA’s work on the evidence behind gambling providers’ preventive measures.
