Spelinspektionen applies anti-money laundering rules to Swedish land-based casino gaming
Sweden’s Spelinspektionen said anti-money laundering regulations apply to land-based commercial casino gaming from 1 September, following the removal of a previous exemption. The regulator said covered licensees must assess risks, know their customers, establish procedures, train staff and monitor activity. A separate exemption from player registration remains in place.
Affected licensees must review their controls while continuing to meet customer-knowledge requirements.
