Pennsylvania Senate President Pro Tempore Kim Ward appointed Christopher W. Huffman to the Pennsylvania Gaming Control Board in September 2025. Huffman will serve a two-year term as a commissioner, the board said.
The appointment adds a commissioner to the body overseeing Pennsylvania’s gaming industry.

Pennsylvania’s Gaming Control Board reported an 18% increase in voluntary gambling self-exclusions in the past fiscal year. More than 30,000 people are now excluded from one or more forms of gambling, according to its annual report.

The request covered records from 15 July 2021 through 18 August 2026 and specified conduct including bots, collusion and multi-accounting.
