Kenya’s GRA establishes player protection and research unit
Kenya’s Gambling Regulatory Authority has established a Player Protection and Research Unit under the Gambling Control Act 2025, according to the report. The unit will monitor problem gambling, examine operator data and assess consumer risk exposure. The law also requires licensed operators to provide self-exclusion, cooling-off periods and clearer risk warnings.
Licensed operators must implement player-protection measures as the authority expands its oversight.
