Kenya regulator plans real-time gambling monitoring system
Kenya’s Gambling Regulatory Authority plans a central system to monitor transactions across licensed gambling operators, the authority said, as reported. Director General Peter Karimi said operators would have to connect, giving regulators visibility of deposits, wagers and payouts. The authority expects gambling tax revenue to exceed KSh40bn this financial year, compared with about KSh33bn in 2024–25.
Operators may need to connect to a system giving the regulator live access to transaction data.
