Kalshi restricts Indian users under online gaming framework
Kalshi has barred users in India from accessing and trading its event contracts, according to its member agreement dated 17 June. The restriction follows implementation of India's Promotion and Regulation of Online Gaming Act, 2025, which the report says includes prediction markets and prohibits online money games; India is now among 55 restricted jurisdictions.
The restriction removes access to Kalshi event contracts for users in India and reflects the law’s reach over prediction markets.
