Kalshi bars India-based users from event-contract trading
Kalshi updated its member agreement on 17 June to prohibit users in India from trading event contracts, reportedly following the country’s online gaming law taking effect on 1 May. The report says India’s Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology had warned Kalshi in April about continued access, while the law prohibits online money games based on uncertain outcomes.
The restriction removes Kalshi users in India and affects the platform’s access to that market.
