Kalamba Games' Giovanna Calà wins Malta business award

Giovanna Calà, head of business development at Kalamba Games, received the "Best Contribution in the Business Sector" award at Malta's Best Business Woman Awards 2026. The award ceremony took place on 21 October at The Xara Lodge in Rabat, Malta.

The awards are dedicated to professional women who have distinguished themselves through their contribution to the business world, and the event celebrates the professional achievements and managerial abilities of women working across economic sectors. According to the official citation given by Jamma, the recognition acknowledges Calà's contribution to reaching high organisational standards and results of excellence in business activity.

Calà has held the head of business development role at Kalamba Games, a company specialising in content production for online gaming, since January 2026. Reportedly, the appointment gave her greater responsibility for the company's commercial expansion, the acquisition of new partners and the development of opportunities offered by regulated markets. The report says the award recognises a career built in the international gaming industry, where she developed skills in commercial development, managing relationships with operators and building strategic partnerships.
