Jamaica Senate approves casino regulations as first venue remains pending

Regulation

Jamaica’s Senate approved the Casino Gaming (General) Regulations 2025 on Friday, completing the parliamentary approval described in the report. The rules set out licensing, reporting, fees and enforcement, while the country’s first casino has not yet opened; Princess Hotels and Resorts is identified as the first licensed integrated-resort operator.

The regulations establish licensing and compliance requirements for operators preparing to enter Jamaica’s casino market.
