J.P. Morgan forecasts 2.5% regional casino revenue decline
J.P. Morgan analyst Daniel Politzer estimated that US regional casino foot traffic fell 1% in December and extrapolated a 2.5% decline in gambling revenue. He attributed the attendance drop to bad weather in the Northeast and Midwest; fourth-quarter revenue was forecast to rise 1.4%, compared with 4% growth in the third quarter.
The estimates offer investors a view of regional casino trading trends and expected revenue growth.
