Fertitta Entertainment agrees to acquire Caesars for $17.6bn
Fertitta Entertainment has agreed to acquire Caesars Entertainment in an all-cash deal valued at $17.6bn, including assumed debt, according to the report. The transaction is expected to take about 12 months to close and requires review by Nevada gaming authorities; the report says the FTC could require property divestments. An analyst cited in the report said MGM, Boyd Gaming and other operators could benefit from disruption or asset sales.
The pending acquisition could create opportunities for competitors if it disrupts Caesars or leads to property sales.
