Italy’s draft budget proposes sports betting concession extensions and annual fees
Italy’s draft 2027 budget proposes extending sports betting concessions until 31 December 2029. The proposed annual fees are €14,250 for each principal betting outlet right and €8,550 for each ancillary outlet right, payable in two instalments; the technical report estimates annual revenue of €114.5m from the physical network.
The proposed extension and fees would affect betting concession costs and the duration of operators’ rights.
