Italy’s Court of Cassation orders fresh review of Saint-Vincent casino seizures
Italy’s Court of Cassation annulled an order upholding precautionary seizures in an investigation linked to the Saint-Vincent casino and sent the matter back to the Aosta review court. The court said the lower court had not adequately explained key points, including alleged corporate liability, employees’ public-service status and the calculation of the alleged proceeds. The investigation and allegations remain in place.
The remand leaves the seizure measures and related allegations subject to further judicial review.
