Italy’s Chamber rejects PD motion on gambling advertising and minors

Regulation

Italy’s Chamber of Deputies rejected a Democratic Party motion during debate on the excise decree, according to reports. The motion called for stronger action against indirect gambling promotion, including affiliate marketing and influencer content, and for measures to protect minors. A separate League motion on the tax treatment of responsible-gambling investment was withdrawn.

The rejected motion leaves its proposed measures on indirect gambling promotion and minors without parliamentary backing.
