Italian MPs ask ministers to address illegal horse-race betting networks
Democratic Party MPs Patrizia Prestipino and Anthony Barbagallo submitted a parliamentary question to Italian ministers about illegal horse racing and its alleged links to illegal betting and organised crime. They asked what steps the Government would take on enforcement, public education and possible tougher penalties, including asset and animal confiscation measures.
The questions put possible enforcement, education and legislative responses to illegal betting before the Italian Government.
