AGIC calls for retail gambling reform in Italy to address illegal play
AGIC president Gennaro Schettino called for a reorganisation of Italy's retail gambling sector, saying it could strengthen consumer protection and public revenue. He described the €30bn estimate for illegal gambling as a likely lower-bound figure and said enforcement involves the Customs and Monopolies Agency and the Guardia di Finanza, as well as new rules.
The call signals an industry association's demand for changes to Italy's retail gambling rules.
