Italian Democratic Party asks government to clarify online gambling top-ups
Italian Democratic Party deputies Stefano Vaccari and Virginio Merola have asked the government and Customs and Monopolies Agency to clarify whether gambling-account top-up systems comply with anti-money-laundering rules. They cited the law’s €100 weekly cash limit at retail top-up points and alleged that some concessionaires’ cards or wallets could enable circumvention; these concerns remain allegations in the parliamentary question.
The requested clarification could affect payment controls and compliance obligations for online gambling operators and top-up points.
