Indonesian immigration authorities deport 92 Chinese nationals over gambling allegations
Indonesian immigration authorities deported 92 Chinese nationals on 5 July after allegations of involvement in an online gambling syndicate and investment fraud in Batam. Authorities said the deportees were placed on Indonesia’s lifetime immigration blacklist, following a formal request from China’s Ministry of Public Security.
The deportations and lifetime blacklist show the immigration consequences of the authorities’ action against alleged online gambling activity.
