Indonesian authorities expand foreigner surveillance after online gambling raid

Enforcement & compliance

Indonesia’s Immigration and Corrections Minister Agus Andrianto said he had ordered expanded monitoring of locations that could host illegal operations, following a police raid in West Jakarta involving 320 foreign nationals. The detainees were transferred to immigration authorities as investigators examined suspected violations involving stay permits and visas. The ministry said it would increase coordination with the Indonesian National Police.
