Indiana House advances bill to relocate Rising Star casino licence
The Indiana House approved House Bill 1038 by 67-30 on 2 February, advancing a proposal to relocate the Rising Star casino licence; the bill now awaits Senate action. If approved, Allen, Steuben, DeKalb and Wayne counties could submit proposals, and the Indiana Gaming Commission would select a winner by 15 April 2027. A winner other than Full House Resorts would pay fair market value for Rising Star and a $50 million relocation fee over five years, and commit at least $500 million in new investment.
Senate approval would open a competition for the licence and set investment and relocation costs for bidders.
