Illinois lawmaker introduces online casino bill with 25% tax proposal

Regulation

Illinois Representative Edgar Gonzalez Jr. introduced HB4797 to legalise and regulate online casino gaming statewide. The proposal would impose a 25% tax on adjusted gross internet gaming revenue and set a $250,000 licence fee; it has not become law.
