Hungarian parliament approves changes to SZTFH concession oversight

Regulation

Hungary’s parliament approved measures on 2 October to dismantle the SZTFH Concessions Council and reduce the authority’s role in concession processes. If fully implemented, the changes would remove SZTFH approval requirements for tenders, bids and the conclusion, amendment or termination of concession agreements; the authority said it did not award concessions directly.

The changes could alter regulatory oversight of gambling concession tenders and agreements in Hungary.
