Nevada’s Gaming Commission is due to review race book and sports pool licence applications at its 23 July 2026 meeting in Carson City. The agenda includes applications involving Caesars Sportsbook at Westgate Las Vegas Resort & Casino and Boomer’s Sports Book at Baldini’s Sports Casino and Longstreet Inn & Casino; the Gaming Control Board has recommended approval for most cases, often subject to conditions.
Nevada’s Gaming Control Board recommended approval of sportsbook licence applications for William Hill Nevada I and Boomer’s Sports Book LLC at its 8 July 2026 meeting, according to the report. The William Hill recommendation carries conditions on controls, surveillance, reserve arrangements and customer transparency; the Nevada Gaming Commission must make the final decisions.
Konami Gaming said it submitted applications to Japan’s Casino Regulatory Commission across all applicable manufacturer licence categories. The company said it was the first gaming equipment manufacturer to file across those categories; its applications precede the planned 2030 opening of MGM Osaka.
Coolbet will end service in Alberta ahead of the province’s regulated commercial iGaming market launch on 13 July, according to a notice on the company’s website. It has stopped accepting new registrations and deposits; access will end on 12 July, and customers can withdraw remaining balances until 31 August. Coolbet said regulatory changes prompted the exit.
MGM Resorts International said it and Tao Group Hospitality agreed to close Jewel Nightclub at Aria in Las Vegas on 21 November 2026. The venue opened in May 2016, and MGM said it has no immediate plans for the space.
