Ireland's Gambling Regulatory Authority of Ireland (GRAI) says operators offering betting online or by telephone must hold a GRAI licence from 1 July 2026. The authority says casino games, slot machines, lotteries and other games of chance or skill are excluded from this initial requirement and will be licensed later. It also lists consumer protections and enforcement powers under the Gambling Regulation Act 2024.

Operators providing remote betting in Ireland must meet the new licensing requirement and related obligations.
