GRAI begins issuing remote betting licences in Ireland

Licences & markets

Ireland’s Gambling Regulatory Authority of Ireland (GRAI) began licensing remote betting operators on 1 July. The licences cover online and telephone betting and remote betting intermediaries; operators need a B2C betting licence to continue offering sports betting. The GRAI said it has started identifying unlicensed operators.

Operators offering remote sports betting in Ireland must hold a B2C licence under the new framework.
