German survey finds 36.4% of adults gambled in past year

Regulation

The German Gambling Survey 2025 found that 36.4% of adults reported paid gambling in the previous year, a level that has remained stable since 2021. It classified 2.2% as having gambling disorder under DSM-5 criteria and a further 5.5% as at risk.

Participation and reported risk levels provide German operators and regulators evidence for assessing gambling activity.
