Games Global has acquired a majority stake in Wishbone Games, its exclusive slots studio partner. The deal completed in 2025 and was disclosed earlier in October 2026, according to Wishbone's Companies House record.

Companies House lists Games Global UK Limited as a person with significant control of Wishbone from 1 October 2025, with control of between 50% and 75% of the Cardiff-based studio's share capital. Co-founders Olaf Miska and Vlad Matei have ceased to hold significant stakes.

The purchase continues a strategy under Walter Bugno of acquiring third-party studios for the network. It follows Games Global's acquisition of at least 10 studio development businesses over the last five years, as well as B2B assets bought from Super Group and Microgaming in the same period.

Games Global's 2024 IPO prospectus, which did not proceed, said the business model allows it to use its platform, scale and cash generation for acquisitions and to develop acquired studios. It said the company had bought a number of studios between 1 April 2022 and 31 December 2023 and was looking for further opportunities.

Wishbone's relationship with Games Global began in June 2022, when it received investment from Velo Partners' RNG Foundry programme. RNG Foundry backs small studios and connects them to Games Global through exclusive partnership deals. Miska said at the time that exclusive distribution through Games Global's channel would let the studio grow and give its games access to operators and players. Games Global has been contacted for comment.
