Finland’s risk assessment group consults on player protection rules

Regulation

Finland’s Gambling Risk and Harm Assessment Group opened a consultation on gambling protection measures on 30 January 2026. Proposals include loss limits applying across licensed operators, deposit and time controls, closer monitoring and stricter protections for people aged 18 to 24. SkillOnNet and Wildz Group reportedly warned that restrictive rules could push players towards unlicensed sites.

A cross-operator loss limit could require licensed operators to coordinate controls across their platforms.
