FIGC suspends three Italian footballers over betting violations
Italy’s FIGC imposed suspensions and fines on Alessandro Selvini, Gabriele Giacchino and Edoardo Antoni after agreements with its Federal Prosecutor over betting on football competitions. Selvini received a 10-month suspension and €7,500 fine, Giacchino an 18-month suspension and €12,500 fine, and Antoni an eight-month suspension and €5,000 fine; some penalties were converted to treatment or educational measures.
The sanctions enforce football betting restrictions for registered players and include rehabilitation measures.
