FIGC calls for review of Italy’s gambling advertising ban
Italy’s football federation, FIGC, called for a review of the country’s gambling advertising policy in a report published the previous week. The federation said a regulated return of advertising could support clubs’ finances, with strict conditions, protections for vulnerable groups and some proceeds directed to social and sporting purposes.
A policy change could reopen gambling advertising and sponsorship opportunities in Italian football.
