Europol and police arrest five suspects in Stockholm illegal gambling investigation
Europol, Spain’s National Police and Swedish authorities arrested five suspects in a joint investigation into an alleged criminal network linked to illegal gambling in Stockholm. Europol said searches in Sweden and Spain uncovered cash and luxury goods, while investigators estimate the network’s gambling activity may have generated about €20m a year.
The investigation links alleged illegal gambling revenues to a cross-border criminal network and coordinated enforcement action.
