Eswatini police investigate Xwin over suspected unlicensed online gambling
Eswatini police have opened an inquiry into Xwin (Proprietary) Limited over suspected unlawful online gambling, according to a police account presented in court. Assistant Superintendent Mpendulo Dlamini said the company lacked a valid gambling licence and that investigators were seeking information about a Hong Kong-linked platform and its agreements.
Operators and regulators face uncertainty over Xwin’s licensing status and the Hong Kong-linked platform under investigation.
